In The Words Of Bluesman Jack

From bar to bar
I play my life story
to the crowd

I play for the people
I play for my sanity

I’ve played
for forty years on the road
with nothing but the blues

I’ve lived a full life
but a lonely life
The hearts I have taken
The hearts I Have broken

It all comes together
in the blues songs of salvation
with the pain and the hate
of a world in despair

From bar to bar
I play my life story
to the crowd

I play them the blues
the blues of salvation
